Miranda and Lee had a bright – and warm! – sunny winter wedding in Jacksonville, Florida. I knew pretty early on that I’d adore these two, and that intuition was spot-on. They’re a fantastic funny guy/straight man combination, Miranda always joking and giggling adorably and Lee looking on in adoration and piping up with the driest wit you’ll ever come across.
They married on a golf course in Jacksonville, a city I’ve come to love as I’ve visited over the years for different weddings, and the January Florida weather did not disappoint.
Their colors were deep and rich, the party a rager, and the couple fantastic to work with.
Most memorable moment from your wedding day?
Lee: the getting married part
Miranda: seeing my dad dance to Lil John’s “Get Low”. Also, realizing that we left half of my wedding outfit at home so we sort of had to wing some fashion choices at the last minute.

What were you most anxious or nervous about regarding your wedding day and how did it turn out?
Lee: I was most nervous about the getting married part. It turned out with us getting married.
Miranda: I was super nervous that everyone would be bored. I later realized that our friends are all just as much fun now as they were in college so, yeah, nobody was bored.
What advice would you give to other couples planning their wedding?
Lee: That they should look both ways before crossing the street.
Miranda: no matter how many lists you make or tasks you delegate, shit will get forgotten and shit will get broken. But when you flop down on your hotel bad at the end of the night and look at your gorgeous new husband or wife, you won’t give a damn about any of it.
If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
Lee: no ma’am
Miranda: I would have made the party longer.
Any tips for future couples on how to prepare for their wedding photos?
Lee: shut up and just listen to what your photographer says. Unless she tells you to cross the street without looking both ways.
Miranda: don’t think about what you’re doing with your face or your hands. Shhhhh! Stop overthinking.
Thank you, Miranda & Lee, for having me as a part of your wedding in Jacksonville. You’re a complete delight. <3
