Colorful and Offbeat Wedding at Monday Night Brewing in Atlanta, GA // Niki & Morgan

I’ve known Niki for years and I’ve watched her and Morgan’s relationship develop, grow, and blossom until finally leading up to their colorful and offbeat wedding at Monday Night Brewing, and it’s been such an honor to be a part of the journey.

One of the elements I have been so excited about leading up to their wedding is Niki’s dress. She is a bride after my own heart in following her own to find her ideal wedding dress. This bright and colorful and offbeat wedding dress is so completely her style and echoes her personality so perfectly as well as complimenting the wedding setting of Monday Night Brewing and their other fun and playful design aspects.

Check out Morgan’s mermaid socks and bow tie, the bright bridesmaids dresses {that brought Sleeping Beauty to my mind!}, and the simple & elegant decor that really let the colorful elements pop!

Most memorable moment from your wedding day?

Morgan- seeing Niki for the first time I felt so excited and happy she wasn’t wearing white and second would be trying to tie my bow tie – I was a little worried it wouldn’t happen.

Niki – seeing Morgan for the first time. I was so excitedly nervous!!! Second (because there were so many) dancing with Morgan during our last dance as it was a great way to end our evening or when his friends wrapped caution tape around us during “Sweet Melissa”

Funniest moment on your wedding day?

Morgan- when niki was sitting on the floor eating her banana pudding – she looked silly.

Niki- During the ceremony when I was looking around (yes I had to soak it all in) when all of our guests were still standing (our officiant first time) because they weren’t asked to be seated.

What were you most anxious or nervous about regarding your wedding day and how did it turn out?

Morgan- I was anxious about people having a good time – and it turns out they did have a great time!

Niki – I was nervous about how all of the planning would turn out – the details that we put in that were touches of us – table names of our current and previous animals when we grew up to the funky ties and mismatched colors of the wedding party. Instead of a traditional tieing the knot or lighting a candle we took a shot together! Everything was just perfect. I couldn’t have asked for a more happy day.

What advice would you give to other couples planning their wedding?

Make sure you stay with your visions you and your spouse want. After all it’s all said and done you’ll appreciate your wedding to be a reflection of you as a couple. Also, have fun with the process. You’ll want to look back and think happy thoughts and not be so fixated on what didn’t go as planned. Expect the unexpected – it rained during our ceremony but it made everyone look like they were sparkling!!

If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
The amount of people we invited. We had a small wedding to keep it cost effective but many others didn’t get to share in our festivities and that was really hard.

Any tips for future couples on how to prepare for their wedding photos?

Have an idea but let your photographer do their magic. Let it go and let it be – you’ll love their artistic elements shine through I know we did.
