Lovely Wedding at the Foundry at Puritan Mill // Atlanta Wedding Photographer

Emily and Jimmy got engaged right underneath the Atlanta Eye, the Ferris Wheel that we Atlantans can now boast about having. It was a gorgeous proposal and - thanks to Mishaun Arrington - it was captured. Having your proposal secretly photographed is one of my FAVORITES. It allows for an intimate moment, true reactions and emotions, but still gets you the memories captured forever. The best photographers can get amazing shots and not have you realize they’re even there, and that goes for your wedding day, as well.

Em & Jim’s wedding was gorgeous. NO, REALLY. It was one of the most put together and prettiest affairs I’ve had the complete pleasure of being a part of, and I’ve enjoyed working with these two every step of the way. They really chose vendors who got their vision and did an outstanding job making the Foundry at Puritan Mill elegant and pretty in a way that reflected who Em & Jim are.

I loved where they chose to get ready, because you could see the ferris wheel where they got married right outside the window, which really brought everything full circle.

Keep reading to find out about their wedding day and their amazing vendors, at the end.

Most memorable moment from your wedding day?

There are so many memorable moments, it is hard to pick just one, but I will. 😉 After the ceremony before the reception Jimmy and I were eating some appetizers and having our first moments together as husband and wife. Jimmy asked to see my hand and my new ring. When I showed him my hand he slipped another band on. It was a total surprise that he got me two bands. I immediately started crying. I love looking back at that precious moment that reminds me I married my best friend who is also a hopeless romantic.

Funniest moment from your wedding day?

The speeches. Even months later we watch the amazing speeches and laugh out loud. My maid of honor rapped to the beat of Fresh Prince of Bel Air. It started “this is a story all about how/Emily ended up in a wedding gown/so let me take a minute and sit right there/while I tell you how Emily & Jimmy became a perfect pair.” In this moment I lost it. It was pure joy.

The laughs continues when Jimmy’s two brother Adam & Andy Coffaro gave a hilarious toast. They focused on the fact that Jimmy was in the Kenny Chesney fan club. They ended with a “heartfelt finish” by saying “Jimmy is the best we have to offer.” It was a special moment!

What were you most anxious/nervous about regarding your wedding day and how did it turn out?

I was worried we would be running late with getting ready. We had 12 women getting hair and makeup with a 11:00 departure time. As you can imagine I was worried we would be late. BUT to my surprise (& with the help of Brushworx) we were actually 5 minutes early. Jimmy always says half the stuff I worry about never happens. He was right, we were ahead of schedule for the rest of the day!

What advice would you give to other couples planning their wedding?

It’s the only day in your life that you will have every person you love and care about in one room. Keep that in mind at every stressful moment and major decision. No matter what you chose it is still going to be the best day of your life. Laugh, enjoy the process, & most importantly remember how much you love each other.

If you could do it all over, would you change anything?

I can honestly say that we have gone over this question and we don’t think we would. It was our perfect day & perfect party. We feel so blessed to have had everyone there to help us celebrate.

Any tips for future couples on how to prepare for the wedding photos?

If you feel beautiful you will be happy and happiness will be captured through you photos. Pick someone you feel comfortable with (like Raven). We didn’t even know Raven was taking pictures and she truly captured our true emotions.
