Yeah, that’s right. Sometimes I name my blogs like they’re college papers.
When Paulyna & Noel hired me to shoot their daughter Olivia’s first birthday party, I was excited, because who doesn’t love a party with awesome people? When they told me it was pretty much completely DIY and it was vintage schoolhouse themed? I was OVER THE MOON. How cool is this party?
Between Paulyna, Noel, and Paulyna’s mom & dad {whose home was the setting for the event} they made and put together EVERYTHING. From the vintage labels to the food, and everything was awesome & delicious.
Also, have I mentioned that one year is fast becoming my favorite age? Maybe it’s because I was spoiled with such an awesome kid to shoot; Olivia had SUCH patience for my assistant and myself bothering her with pictures and pretending to chomp on her feet. SUCH a peach, this girl. OH! And the pink dress that Olivia’s wearing? That was Paulyna’s dress from when SHE was a one-year-old!
One of the reasons I was so excited to shoot their party for them is because I know that Olivia will look back when she’s older and be so grateful that she has pictures of all the hard work her family put in for her. Proof of how amazing her family is.
