Breathing & Niagara Falls

Ya’ll. It’s been crazy up in here.

Not only do I have a ton of amazing things to share with you soon, but I’ll also have a new friend to introduce you to, soon. {Actually, judging by the applications I received, I’ll have a handful of new friends to introduce you to.}

I’ve been on a bit of a processing spree, lately, here at the end of the year. But now, for a week or so, I get to relax just slightly and take a breath. Which is important, in life as well as business.

I don’t typically take a lot of vacations throughout the year. Most of my travel revolves around a shoot or a wedding, so though we always make an attempt to see the sights, it doesn’t always work out as planned. Even during this trip to New York, where I somehow managed to accidentally find Niagara Falls while trying to find . . . Niagara Falls, I only had about half an hour before I had to head to the airport.

But, to me, it was really important that I made those minutes count. Even by myself, even if I couldn’t quite see the falls, even if it didn’t look like when Jim & Pam from The Office got married: I had to take a moment, snap some pictures just for me, and take a breath. A cold, misty breath.

Especially with the holidays - mostly - behind us, it’s time to take a second for yourself {which you probably haven’t done in a few weeks, if not months}. Close your eyes and just be. Feel contented. Know that you are awesome and what you do is enough.

Come back to Niagara Falls with me. It really was as beautiful as they say.

Thank you again, Corrin & Matthew, whose wedding allowed this little side trip.

My name is Raven and I shoot amazing couples and their amazing weddings, both traditional and offbeat. I always look for wedding clients who like to have fun, are creative, and love to laugh. Along with weddings, I shoot engagement sessions, family portraits, children’s portraits, senior portraits, boudoir sessions, and just about everything in between. I’m based north of Atlanta, Georgia, but I’m available for and love travel world-wide.
