Brooke & Jason’s Sweet Southern Vintage Wedding

Back in February of 2011, I shot a wedding at one of the most excellent venues, the Hay House in Macon, GA. This past October, I shot at its sister building, Rhodes Hall.

Rhodes Hall was built in 1904, and was first the home to Amos Rhodes, found of Rhodes Furniture. And now you know.

It’s an absolutely gorgeous property, and the perfect setting for a Southern vintage wedding, which is exactly what Brooke & Jason had planned.

You may remember the two from their engagement session. Hold on to your hats, there’s so much more awesomeness from this couple.

There was a lemonade stand with striped straws and sugar on the rim.

There was cornhole. Seriously, I love that game.

There were fried green tomatoes.

The groom’s cake was donuts.

And guys, there was an awesome, awesome wedding band called The Retreat.

This was one of the most fun weddings ever. Full of hilarity, crazy dancing, and a great party.

Thank you, Brooke & Jason. You guys are amazing.

My name is Raven and I shoot amazing couples and their amazing weddings, both traditional and offbeat. I always look for wedding clients who like to have fun, are creative, and love to laugh. Along with weddings, I shoot engagement sessions, family portraits, children’s portraits, senior portraits, boudoir sessions, and just about everything in between. I’m based north of Atlanta, Georgia, but I’m available for and love travel world-wide.
