The Epic Intern Search of 2013

I’m looking for someone who:

  • has a strong interest in photography
  • wants to be a professional photographer
  • has a sense of humor
  • is open-minded
  • has a flexible schedule
  • is laidback & kind
  • will be dedicated to this experience
  • is unflappable
  • can take constructive criticism
  • lives in or around the Atlanta area

What will you get in return?:

  • Not only experience, but also education in all areas of photography. Though I specialize in weddings & lifestyle portraits, I remain open to shooting just about everything, and I always have at least one purely creative collaboration in the works at all times.
  • I was a photo editor long before I became a photographer, and it remains one of my passions, along with teaching people editing skills in both Lightroom and Photoshop.
  • Everything you shoot during your time with me is for you and your portfolio. By the time your internship ends, you’ll have a full portfolio for all the areas that you’re interested in.
  • Because I need someone who can keep up with me, you’ll be pushed and will be learning constantly.

Details:

  • A typical internship with me will last at least 6 months.
  • College credit is available, just ask.
  • Applicant must have, at the very least, a DSLR camera & a current online portfolio.
  • The application deadline is Dec 29th.
  • You will be informed by e-mail by December 31st whether or not you’ve made it to the final round.

My name is Raven and I shoot amazing couples and their amazing weddings, both traditional and offbeat. I always look for wedding clients who like to have fun, are creative, and love to laugh. Along with weddings, I shoot engagement sessions, family portraits, children’s portraits, senior portraits, boudoir sessions, and just about everything in between. I’m based north of Atlanta, Georgia, but I’m available for and love travel world-wide.

Art Stiles - I am interested in applying for this internship. I want to become a better photographer who is able to create and capture moods and emotions of people and places. I love shooting nature and landscapes; and I want to become comfortable and more expert at shooting people. I have Nikon D700 with multiple lenses, and an SB 900 speed light with diffuser and shoot through umbrella. I am retired from the Army and from teaching. I have applied for another part time job to earn enough money to purchase another lens. I would love to travel throughout the national parks of the US, especially the mountains, and to Asia; however, I love exploring new places regardless of where they are. I enjoy reading and cooking. I have tried to learn photography on my own and through some classes with different instructors; however, I feel I have so much more to learn from someone that I could work with in a one-on-one situation to critique my work and offer suggestions of how to improve. If you feel I would suit your needs, I will strive to make my time and efforts contribute the maximum towards your business.
