Sheri & Jaime and I planned this styled Fernbank Museum elopement based on a few inspiration points. Jaime, having just moved to Atlanta only a few weeks before, had never been to Fernbank. So, Sheri was eager to show him around some of Atlanta’s biggest landmark spots, this museum included. And I’ve been dying to photograph a couple at Fernbank for such a long time; it’s a place I loved growing up and it has so many amazing spots; honestly, I could have kept shooting for way longer!
One of the newer additions, the Fernbank Forest walk out back, was something I was really excited to check out. Being someone who adores walking around in the woods anyway, I loved all of the architecture on the pathway. It’s amazing how we would wander through all kinds of different settings before making our way back to the museum.
Fernbank Museum is also an event venue in its own right, so if you’re wanting a big party with all your friends and family, it’s a fantastic place for that. But if you wanted a quiet spot to say your vows with just the two of you, a Fernbank Museum elopement also offers that! If all you need is a space to recite vows and exchange rings, you can marry virtually anywhere!
