Offbeat Engagement Photos in Athens, GA

Callie & Chandler are getting married in Trenton, SC this spring at her parent’s home in the town she grew up in. They live in an adorable house, with an adorable dog, and no, I actually didn’t tell them what to wear. They’re just naturally this adorable and funky and generally fun to be around.

I’m thinking of hiring them to go shopping for me on the daily.

The two of them and I tooled around Athens guerrilla-style {which is my favorite style} for a day of offbeat engagement photos, traveling to the most random of places and finding some of the coolest spots I’ve ever seen. We went to a bike shop that was part junkyard, the warehouse Jittery Joe’s, a ravine, visited the tree that owns itself, a tiny corner bookstore where we sat in tiny chairs, the gardens at UGA, where we posed like statues, and their home, as well.

I felt completely at home with this couple, and they were SO much fun to shoot. They didn’t bat an eye at my stranger ideas, and laughed at most, if not all of my bad jokes.

Ya’ll, they’re wedding is going to be AWESOME. Thanks, Cal & Chan. You guys are AMAZING. :)My name is Raven and I shoot amazing couples and their amazing weddings, both traditional and offbeat. I always look for wedding clients who like to have fun, are creative, and love to laugh. Along with weddings, I shoot engagement sessions, family portraits, children’s portraits, senior portraits, boudoir sessions, and just about everything in between. I’m based north of Atlanta, Georgia, but I’m available for and love travel world-wide.

Favorite Uncle - These are fantastic pictures. I think you captured a bit of fun, quirkiness that really tells a story about this couple. Of course, I recognized a few of the locations, having lived in or around Athens for 25 years. What, you couldn’t stop by and say “Hello”?

Love ya - keep up the good work!ReplyCancel
