Brittany & Anthony, whom I’ve been affectionately referring to as Brit & Ant, are a freaking ray sunshine in human form. They are one of the sunniest couples I’ve ever had the complete pleasure of knowing, and their Star Wars meets garden wedding in DeMotte, IN was SO much fun. Jokes and puns and innuendos and nerdy references, GALORE.

They’re also aces at creating a garden wedding that holds true to things important to them as a couple. If something holds meaning for you and you want to add it into your wedding, I’m 100% behind you.

Star Wars in the Garden Wedding in DeMotte, IN

Brit had a pair of WICKED pointed heels from Prada, Ant had Star Wars suspenders + TOMS shoes for all his groomsdudes, and the two made a unity Black & Tan at the altar {a combination of Guinness for him and an IPA for her}. PLUS a Stormtrooper helmet-shaped groom’s cake. AWESOME.

{PS Anthony’s dad Vince is kind of famous for his dancing, so NOT SORRY in advance for all the pictures of him. They’re my favorite thing ever.}

Special thanks to Nicole Defilippis for coming with me on this adventure, second shooting, & sharing in some of the best brunch I’ve ever had.

Vendor information at the bottom of the post, advice from Brittany & Anthony throughout.

Most memorable moment from your wedding day?
Brit: Vince (Anthony’s dad) doing his infamous “dirty butt” dance.
Anthony: Making a black & tan (with my Guinness and Brit’s IPA) for the unity beer ceremony.

^ Look at her! She IS Princess Leia!! ^

Funniest moment from your wedding day?
Brit: When wedding guest Jason split his pants from “twerking too hard”.

What were you most anxious/nervous about regarding your wedding day and how did it turn out?
Brit: Taking pictures! BUT Raven is awesome, she made the process fun!

What advice you would give to other couples planning their wedding?
Brit: Do what makes YOU [both] happy on your big day- don’t get bogged down with traditions and formalities!

If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
Brit: Nope! Maybe a more comfortable dress for dancing…

    Raven, thank you sooooo much for having me be your second shooter! You are not exaggerating when you called them a freaking ray of sunshine. In fact, I think it may be understatement. I absolutely loved this couple and I had only met them the day of the wedding. Not only were they awesome, but their family and bridal party were pretty fantastic too. This was honestly one of the funnest weddings I’ve had the pleasure to (assist) photograph. Your photos from this day are gorgeous, you captured so many great moments. It was truly an honor to work with and learn from you. Thank you! And congrats again to Brittany & Anthony! You guys know how to throw a party!
