Rustic Peach Orchard Backyard Wedding in South Carolina

The first wedding of the year is officially here, for me. And it was completely awesome.

This is Callie & Chandler, who are really kind and really, really fun to be around. Also, they laugh at my jokes, which makes them doubly awesome.

The ceremony took place in a church that holds special significance to Callie and her family, Harmony United Methodist in Trenton, SC. The church was founded in 1834, and has so much personality.

They had an old-fashioned exit from the church, looking like a couple out of a Jane Austen adaptation as their friends & family tossed rose petals and lavender, the combination of which was beautiful and smelled heavenly!

We chose to do their first look in one of the nearby peach orchards, then followed up their ceremony at a phenomenal reception in her parents’ backyard, featuring a wealth of truly awesome details that Callie’s father had been collecting over the years.

It truly is one of my favorite things in the world, experiencing weddings at which so much of the couple’s personality is obvious in all of the choices made for the day.
