The “A” Family

One of my favorite parts of my job is the travel. I’ve been able to visit tons of different place I would never have the chance to see, otherwise.

I’ve visited Alexandria, VA and its surrounding areas between 3-4 times, now, and every time I do, I discover something new. {Diana & Joey’s Courthouse Wedding, Lane & Patrick’s Abandoned Amusement Park Wedding} This time, it was Founder’s Park, a little strip of greenery right along the water at one edge of Old Town Alexandria.

This visit to Virginia found me with a full day of family & children’s sessions, some at Founder’s Park, some at clients’ homes. This is the “A” family, one of my families from this day, and a complete joy to photograph.

It’s always important to me to get all kinds of combinations with family sessions, like just the kids, the whole family, just mom & dad, and individuals of the kids. It’s almost like having multiple mini-sessions within the larger one. I’ve heard from so many moms & dads that their wedding photos were the last photos they’ve taken together, and I always seek to remedy that. Who doesn’t want more cute & cuddly pictures of themselves and their sweetie?
